This design started out as a marriage sampler, and Linda spent many hours deciding which of several verses she wanted to highlight here. However, as the design developed and she decided on this particular phrase, she realized it is suitable for a variety of family remembrances -- a first home, an anniversary, etc.
The carnation often represents affection, and the red carnation in particular can mean admiration or betrothal. The simple color palette is lovely and lets the design speak for itself. Stitched on 28 ct. the finished size is approx. 11" x 6"
