Although this sampler is probably English, one of the most delightful things about it is the set of motifs the sampler has in common with a grouping of samplers out of Deerfield, Massachusetts. Most particularly, notice the pair of white doves located in the center of the bottom of the sampler. These doves are nearly, if not exactly, identical to those found on several samplers from the Deerfield Area. Model stitched on 40 ct. WDW Beige, but can be stitched on any count and stitched using NP Silk fibers:152, 224, 296, 315, 336, 342, 344 (2 skeins), 563, 633, 641, 693, 695, 771, 851, 877, 974, 986, 991, 993. Stitches used are cross stitch, over-one cross stitch, and straight stitch. Finished size is approx. 15.25" x 18".
