Brenda Keyes sampler with a stitch count of 225 x 159. When worked over 2 threads the approx. finished size would be 18 1/2 x 12 1/2.
This sampler features specialty stitches, rich colors... and an appealing design content and pattern. Finishing approx 13 x 13 on 25ct Lugana. Gorgeous!
'On Halloween, when the crescent moon is sailing bright and high, Jack-o-lanterns wink and grin, for the witching hour is nigh.' A perfect piece for a banner for Halloween...using Weeks Dye Works trick or treat overdyed floss. Offered as a leaflet, this finishes approx 7 x 12 on at 28ct. There are all sorts of possibilities here...have you tried using the florescent colors of Kreinik threads...they glow in the dark...with the stars done in that how cool would that be at night?
Another exquisite design from Lavender & Lace, the roses swirling around the elegant lady seem to come alive, and the colors are unmatched in the gown she wears. This is truly Marilyn at her best, creating woman who seem to come alive as you stitch them.
Liberty Star Sampler features lots of Chessie's one-over-one details, Trellis and Smryna Crosses to add texture and interest, and of course that little signature-kitty, who's always stitched over one. Approx 5-1/2 x 7, this is stitched on R & R's handyed 30ct Old Mill Java linen, which is provided with the pattern by Chessie.
Punch your own Punchneedle Pennies all year! Each chartpak comes with the multi-use iron-on transfer and a lovely piece of hand-dyed weaver's cloth by Lakeside Linens & Designs, especially chosen for each design. The designs are also embellished with the wonderful clay buttons from Just Another Button Company; which are readily available from your needlework or quilt retailer. Each is sized to finish around 4'' in diameter so a 6'' hoop will work nicely. SEPTEMBER - Autumn BreezesIt's almost time to tackle all of those leaves in your yard! The background of this design is punched with a variegated Wildflowers thread in a swirling pattern that will remind you of how those leaves can blow all around on those Indian Summer days. The design uses 1- and 3-strand punchneedles and overdyes from Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works.
OCTOBER - Pumpkin HouseA not-very-spooky house on the hill just in time for the trick-or-treaters! Bright colors from Weeks Dye Works just pop on the “Sugared Ginger” color of weaver's cloth. It looks great on our fall banner, but would also make a very festive ornament or door hanger for the season!
Flip Flops are all over the place this year and this is a cute one. Colorful with the little jelly hearts hanging on each flip flop. Just add this to your summer collection...would look cute anywhere.
Charmed Bewitching Hour is approx. 3"x13"..as the spider web clock strikes the midnight hour, the silver charm spider makes his way down the web and the figures of flying witches pass through the moonlight
This 3" x 13" design is a shop favorite because we love any nautical design especially lighthouses. 4 Lighthouses are shown with silver charm sailboats riding the waves between them. Charms are included.
Autumn's blessings fine and free, make hearts sing and grateful be. Greet the fall with this beautiful fall design. Stitched on 32 count linen with harvest colors of silk thread. Kit comes complete with a button pack. This band sampler design has a darling sheep at the top, lots of rows of special stitches throughout the piece, and incorporates a swirly pumpkin, green leaf and a black bird. Finished size is approx 4 x 9! The Jill Rensel Mat designed just for this piece makes this design complete.
This is a definite WOW! This has to be one of the greatest pieces Shepherd's Bush has ever designed, and we truly love everything they do...but this is over the top. ' Oh Beautiful's' verse features the words to the song, America The Beautiful. Stitched on 32ct hand-dyed French Vanilla linen in silk shades of Old Lace, Smokey, Meadow, and Williamsburg Greens, Dried Pink Roses, and dusky Purples... some of the silks are hand-dyed, some are solids. Finishing approx 6 x 18, Oh Beautiful is full of special stitches done with the silk and lots of Creme cotton Floche thread -- which is a very thin, tightly twisted thread -- designed to let the Whitework areas just glisten! With lots of pretty little flowers in the bands, there are even a few tiny fish and spiders in here! I think the best part of the sampler, besides that verse, is the beautiful pastoral landscape scene in the middle. The little grazing sheep are only 3 stitches high -- including their little legs! The 14 x 27 Jill Rensel handpainted mat featured on the picture is perfect for this piece.

"Croaking frogs, leaping lizards, pumpkin seeds & smelly gizzards, cawing ravens, eye of newt, magic potion or chicken soup..." the perfect Halloween sampler to get you in the mood. Finished size approx. 8" x 14 1/2". Good chance for embellishment with bat, pumpkin and ghosts buttons from JABC.
This is such a stunning piece, done in one color family making it elegant and simplistic with beautiful shapes and motifs... the verse reads, "To do unto others as I would that they should do unto me, would make me honest kind and good, as children ought to be." With a stitch count of 381 x 381... you have many choices for linens and threads. No special stitches, just the design itself . The stitched piece is shown over one on 30ct measuring approx 13 x 13, and requires 10 5-meter skeins of silk. If you want to do this on 32ct over two, it would be 24 x 24, you decide. To figure this into your own scheme, you may want to get the chart, study it and then pick out your overdyed thread to match your colors.
The first in the Summer Snapperland set is finally here! While summer is almost behind us, this is too cute to ignore... The first design is a tiny beach house, complete with a whale weathervane and little red crab on the sandy beach! Offered as the small individual card, there are snap embellishments included for the weathervane. As with Spring and Winter Snapperland, Bent Creek has designed a really neat border chart, so that you can stitch all four designs in this mini-set as one bigger design. That border design reads, 'Turn your face to the sun, and the shadows fall behind you.' Along with the sunshine and shells, there are seahorses in the border design as well, and the special embellishment package contains more snaps, clay sand dollars and a sea scallop. I stitched the first snapperville in one long piece and it's absolutely adorable. I'm planning to add this one it's started off so cute. Stitched on 32ct Rue Green Belfast Linen... each design finishes approx 3 x 3. Stitched together with the freebie border, the entire piece finishes approx 5 x 15. SOOO cute!

An Original design from Paulette Stewart, this is her way to tell about creation, it is not a substitute for Scripture. "In the beginning God made the earth, And it was dark as night. He commanded that there should be a day and said Let there be light...." Stitched on 36ct. Vintage Light Examplar using 1 strand of Needlepoint Inc. Silk it's finished size is approx. 12.6" x 20.1".
Four small charts,4 1/4" x 4 1/4", at least for Brenda Keyes whose designs are usually larger than many other designers, each depicting a different biblical reference, Adam & Eve, Noah's Ark, Faith, Hope and Charity, and the Spies from Canaan. As usual her designs are bold with color and have the typical sampler motifs.
Packaged in 5-yard, continous-length skeins, each color is overdyed with various colors, to produce monochromatic blends, as well as medleys of coordinating colors. Weeks overdyeds are great to use for twisted cord finishing, too, as they are available in a continuous length. Not colorfast
It's always so hot in August (at least in this hemisphere!). Even then, there's reason to smile with bright sunflower buttons and your favorite friend coming to you with a can't-resist-me grin on her face! “Dog Days” uses both 1 and 3 strand punchneedles on a lovely “Sand Dune” gold weaver's cloth. Threads are from Gentle Art, Weeks, and DMC; most of the background on this one is filled leaving some bits of gold peeking through in the sun's rays.
