On original design by Beth Twist who is a beekeeper and loves to celebrate her favorite insect by designing and informing us about the bee. Through her we have learned how important the bee is for so much of our food supply. So we celebrate the Queen Bee with this drum. The words on the drum, Red de Bijen, is the Dutch translation of the common English quote "Save the Bees." You can stitch it or you can personalize your pin drum with the included full alphabet and number set included. Shown stitched on 35 ct. This featured bird is eating nightshade which is a berry which birds eat and spread the seeds in their droppings. The quote, "Where liberty dwells there is my country" has been attributed to Benjamin Franklin, however no evidence has been found verifying this, but Beth felt it was a great quote whoever said it and used it as the basis for this huswife. For those who are unfamiliar with what a huswife is, according to the Reformed Presbyterian Magazine, September 1, 1864, "it is a long piece of cloth with a number of small pockets sewed along one side, and made to fold up like a pocket book, having separate places for buttons, thread, needles, pins, & etc, such as some of you may have seen your mothers or grandmothers use." The model is stitched on R & R Reproductions 36 ct. Old Mill Java using Weeks Dye Works: Parchment, Sandcastle, Dirt Road, Grape Vine, Fathom, Moss and Red Rocks.

Victory 7 Peace is part of the Petites Collection, which means it's shown stitched on 40 ct. silk gauze, which is included in the chartpak. Inspired by the fourth verse of the original poem which became our national anthem, Linda includes numerous details to honor our flag and its history, including an approximation of the flag flown at Fort McHenry in 1814..."Blest with victory and Peace May the heav'n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a Nation." Across the bottom section, "the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave," and along one side, "in God is our trust." The piece can be done as one piece or you can divide the top portion wh the flag and words, from the dark section at the bottom which shows the ships arriving in the port with fireworks and the flag flying.
