Knit 'n Bitch The second Monday of every month (December 2011 through May 2012) will be our meeting in the shop. It begins after lunch around 1:00 pm and lasts until we close at 4:00 p.m.
Stitch 'n Bitch The second Tuesday of every month (Jan. thru June) we meet in the evening in the shop. Shop opens around 6:30p.m. and we stitch until around 9:30 or 10:00 p.m.

Betsy Morgan Weekend Sampler Casket Etui
June 1-3, 2012...We are excited to welcome Betsy Morgan back for another exciting weekend. The weekend will include 2 nights lodging, lunch on Saturday, and Sunday and a continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and the Sampler Casket Etui class kit. There is pre-stitching to be done, although it is for only one of the pieces so you will need time to get it stitched, although we have been able to do it in less than 2 days. The cost for the weekend is $350 which includes lodging for 2 nights, continental breakfast for 2 mornings and lunch for 2 days plus the class kit. Stitcher's Spring Retreat May 4-6, 2012...Join us for a fun filled weekend of stitching at the beach. Bring your UFO's to finish, share ideas, or to just stitch all weekend without any interruptions. This weekend is dedicated strictly to stitching!!! The total cost for the weekend is $204.00 based on double occupancy. Accommodations will be at The Lankford Hotel located on 8th Street and the Boardwalk (Salty Yarns is located in the hotel). The weekend includes a welcoming reception on Friday night, a "goodie bag" and a continental breakfast each morning. Jackie du Plessis Weekend
August 17-19, 2012 we are hosting our 2nd annual Jackie du Plessis weekend featuring the "Hands to Work, Hearts to God" project. As always. Jackie chose the best of materials -- gorgeous silk, hand-dyed silk ribbons, silk fibers, linen. The kit includes the divided carrier with the stitching goods...the needle case, needlebook, thimble bonnet, thread box, pincushion may basket, waxer pocket and waxer...the thread basket the carriers pin cushion and pockets, the button seed pack....a total of 9 pieces. This is a pre-stitch class and the cost includes your lodging, breakfast each morning, lunch on Saturday, and the kit. The cost of the weekend is $470.
Ocean City Stitcher's Jamboree Oct. 12-14,2012....Come join us in Ocean City, Md., and take advantage of one of the favorite getaway spots on the Atlantic Ocean. Lodging will be provided by the Lankford Hotel, located directly on the boardwalk (8th and the Boardwalk). Just imagine an entire weekend with fellow stitchers and wonderful designers. Sherri Jones Weekend April 19-21, 2013 We are so excited that Sherri Jones, Patrick's Woods, will be coming to Salty Yarns to teach in 2013 and we just had to announce it early to let everyone know. She will be teaching the Blue Ribbon Sewing Box which I will get a picture up in the next couple of days, along with all the information you will need. |
April 20-22, 2012... Maritime Sewing Case. A weekend with Elizabeth Talledo...Imagine your stitching treasures resting in this charming box within a box, surrounded by sea creatures, sailboats, and quaint harbors. Using the pre-stitched panels and lining fabric, you will finish the box that will house the scissors and thread rings. Then switching gears you will become the painter and create a watery landscape on linen as a background for your maritime scene. Emphasis will be placed on finishing painting and counted thread techinques. Pre-stitching of about 10 hours. Class includes full kit with finishing materials, lodging for 2 nights, lunch, and Sara's special breakfast...$375.00
