Also show in Nashville, Neewollah Ceremonial Rug featuring triangles surrounding the center area filled with Halloween motifs in circles and blocks. Stitched on 40 ct. Murky (Picture This Plus) linen using 1 strand of floss over 2. Approx. design size is 7"x5.4".
It's hard to think Halloween at this time of year, however, Prairie Moon is the Halloween Queen and designs all year for it. You Forgot my Car Seat came out in Nashville and would make a cute ornament hanging on a "witches broom" on the front door. Stitched on 40 ct it's approx. size is 3.6" x 4". But remember...you can stitch on any count you are comfortable with. They used a spooky fabric from Picture Plus called "Ancient" with shades of gray mixing with shades of orange.
Quaker Samplings began in 2006 as a pair of samplers, I and II. These samplers were so popular Ellen added Quaker Sampling III to this series. In Mini Quaker Samplings she added two more samplers, Quaker Sampling IV and V. The package contains charts for both. These samplers can be stitched entirely in cross stitch over two linen threads using one ply of embroidery thread. On each of her models, she decided to stitch the first letter of her first name using four-sided stitches to set it apart from the rest of the letters in the alphabet. She cross stitched everything else. These samplers can be stitched on linen or aida. The models were stitched using one ply of Brethren Blue Sampler Thread from The Gentle Art on 36-count Meadow Rue linen. Ellen suggests you buy 2, 5-yard skeins of overdyed thread if you want to stitch both samplers using one ply of thread like she did.
This verse of unknown origin is often found on old samplers. It can be stitched on aida or linen using backstitch, cross stitch, four sided stitch. Finished design is approx. 12.75" x 12.75" when stitched on 36 ct. fabric
Who wouldn't want this cute stitching book. It measures approx. 6" x 14" when stitched on the recommended 32 ct. linen. Stitching is done with Gentle Art's fibers. Offered as the chart.
This looks like such fun to stitch, and also fast and easy...my two favorite things. I simply adore the slipper and can envision several other designs I could put on it. But I love the mouse as well so that I'll do first. I've read the finishing directions and they appear to be easy enough to do. Worked on week's 30ct Cocoa linen in only 4 colors. The larger cat pillow measures approx. "6 x 8", the pinkeep is 3.5" square and the little slipper is only 1.5"x 5.5". I'm thinking this would make a fabulous Secret Santa gift for your stitching friends. Chart only.
