Part 2 of the 2009 set of Loose Feathers is in the house. This year's set of 5 limited edition signs focuses around needlework samplers and includes bonus patterns for 5 needlework accessories. The first graph gave us a pinkeep, and this one is giving us a pin cushion, using one of Milady's wooden pieces as the base. At the end of the series, Barb and Alma are providing a pattern for a sewing bag to hold all your accessories. The Simple Things offers a lovely 4" x 11" sampler that is cross stitched with overdyeds on R & R's hand-dyed linen, with the bonus chart for the pin cushion. Offered as a chart only.
The 4th in the monthly series of Mini Stockings has arrived. I am so excited about this series that I started stitching them as they come in. The latest include april showers with an umbrella, Sweet Pea, and half a wreath. These will make a wonderful addition to the set.
Blackbird's 2009 Loose Feathers Series of designs are scheduled to be needlework accessory cases and smalls with a mystery piece to be revealed at the end (a stitching bag to hold all the pieces). This leaflet includes a *bonus pattern* of matching Needlebook. Stitched on hand-dyed 28ct Light Grey/ Straw gingham linen, in Crescent's Belle Soie silks or DMC cottons, the box measures a generous 6 inches in diameter. If that's a little bigger than you want you can always stitch it over one which would make it 3" in diameter. Alphabet letters wrap around the sides, and the peacock adorns the top. The finishing instructions do not create a box that opens, rather a stuffed large 'cushion-box' but you could always construct a box with a lift off lid.
