Advent Candles Ornament Set...............Heartstring Samplery

A family (both church family as personal family) tradition leading up to Christmas is the lighting of the Advent Candles.  Each candle is a symbol of something.  1st candle symbolizes "Hope".  The expectation felt in anticpation of the coming Messiah.  The 2nd candle represents "Faith", a reminder of Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem.  The 3rd candle symbolizes "Joy", meant to remind us of the joy that the world experienced at the birth of Jesus, as well as the joy that the faithful have reached the midpoint of Advent.  The 4th candle symbolizes "Peace", and it reminds us of the message of the angels, "Peace on Earth, good will toward men."  The final candle placed in the middle of the wreath and lit on Christmas Eve is called the "Christ Candle" and represents the life of Christ.  Finished size of each ornament is approx. 2.5" x 2" when stitched on the recommended 40 ct.  Models are stitched on PTP 40 ct Legacy and stitched using Gloriana silk, Almond, Cinnabar, Cotswold Pink, Sassy Green, Sunflower, Tanager Green, Twilight, Woolly Bear.  Trimmed using Lady Dot Creates:"Vintage" mini-pom trim.

For many the year's first snow is a major event and brings out the child in everyone including adults. After finding snowsuits, gloves, etc., it's out to build snow angels and snowmen.  The perfect snowman also comes with his own hat, gloves, sticks for arms, carrot nose, etc.  Teri and Tina have captured the event in the 2019 Christmas Stocking.  Along with the snowman, there is a Nordic Santa, a town on Christmas Eve and Santa and his reindeer flying over.  Stitched on 18 ct. Cathedral Woods Goddess..............Mirabila

"She lives in the densely wooded forest.
The cathedral ceilings are lacy pine trees.
Her carpets are woven with moss, sage and ivy.
The droplets from clean rain make up crystal
chandeliers knitted together by spider webs. The lightning bugs light her path down the hallways.
It is a fine castle for this wild Queen who is
sometimes seen wandering its corridors at dusk.
The euphoric cricket opera plays on all night."
