Cloverly's Bunny Bungalow.....................Just Nan

Just Nan's latest mouse in a house has arrived....and while Cloverly may be late for this Easter, you certainly could start her now and have her done by Easter 2019.  Cloverly Bunny lives in the little bungalow you see and you may also note that there are many bunnies living with her who are peeking out of windows and can be seen hopping in the gardens around the house and I believe I see one behind a flower pot, or should I say carrot pot as that is what Cloverly is growing.  In fact carrots are everywhere here...the door handle is also a carrot.  It's the detail on the bunny bungalow which make it come alive for you.  And Cloverly is not outshined by her bungalow, she is adorned with a long stem rosebud just picked from her garden and has a fluffy tail.  Her dress has a cute border of clover...she's just the perfect inhabitant for the bungalow.  The chart comes with a  stitch guide, the embellishments include ribbon, pink felt. cardboard house pieces, beads, pompom tail, Nan's signature mouse button base, and rosebud.  Not included are the fibers, DMC B5200, 210, 310, 646, 704, 801, 930, 931, 932, 3345, 33416, 3347, 3687, 3688, 3689, 3752, 3837, 3853, 3855, 3862, 3863, 3864-32 ct. Weeks Morris Blue Linen, 32 ct. Weeks Platinum linen, and 32 ct Country Mocha Vintage linen for the bunny.

Bord de Mer....................Madame la Fee

"Bord de Mer" is French for Seaside, and Madame la Fee has presented a beautifully designed chart with realistic looking elements.  The colors are beautiful, and she's used the perfect light blue to stitch on.  The seagull looks as if it is going to fly right off the chart.  Love this piece.   The charts are large so they are easy to follow and are not only with symbols but in color as well so that will be easier on you.   Bord de Mer is shown stitched on a light or baby blue using DMC:B5200, 815, 347, 3328, 760, 3713, 168, 169, 898, 30, 434, 436, 738, 3822, 930 931, 932, 3752, 822, 842, 840, 3051, 3052, 3053, 926, 927, 928, 3790, 3032, 644. Flowers of the Holy Night....................Glendon Place

Dr. Joel Roberta Poinsett, an amateur botanist and first United States Ambassador to Mexico, introduced the plant that became known as the poinsettia to the United States in 1828.  A native of southern Mexico, the poinsettia blooms in December and has  been used in that country to decorate churches for centuries.  Many consider the red color a symbol of purity and so poinsetties were traditionally part of religious ceremonies.  Many also believe that the shape of the poinsettia flowers and the leaves are a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem which led the Wise Men to Jesus.  In Mexico and Guatemala, the poinsettia is called "Flores de Noche Buena", which translates to "Flower of the Holy Night."  It is shown stitched on 28 ct. Thistle Do Nicely...............Glendon Place

Simple yet elegant, thistles have  long been the floral emblem of what was once the Kingdom of Scotland.  The characteristics of the flower holds symbolism from more than one perspective.  The flower itself is a symbol of an enlightened person, a person who has gained their crown.  Because the flower head is purple, there is added power in its symbolism.  The color purple has long been a sign of royalty, high rank, justice, wealth and dignity.  The thistle is also an ancient Celtic symbol of nobility of character and birth.  Taken from an old Irish Blessing about shamrocks, the designer has modified this blessing as a tribute to Scotland and the mighty thistle.  The model is stitched on 28 ct. White Jobelan and she has used Dinky Dyes Ocean Pines, Lilac, Jindabyne, Spearmint, Bunya Cone, and Your Majesty; DMC B5200 and 500 and Mill Hill Beads 00479, 02009, 02031, 03053 and Kreinik #4 008HL (Green Hi Lustre).  Finished size is approx. 14 1/2" x 9 3/4"

Weathered Shingle using Classic Colorworks in Persimmon, Bunny Honey, Pine Needles, Weeping Willow, Cinnamon Toast, Blushing Beauty, Hickory Sticks, and Tennessee Red Clay and DMC in 640, 822, 950, 310, 3829, and 3813.  Stitches in this design are cross stitch over two threads, as well as a few tiny areas of over-one stitching (Woolemina's eyes, the bee, and the tiny heart). Doves and Honeybees is the second release in a year-long series, with two ornaments per chart released 6 times throughout the year. There are 12 ornaments total which can be stitched as they are shown on the covers, or all together, on one piece of fabric! It just depends,  if you want a larger sampler at the end of the year, or 12 + 1 individual ornaments.  If you choose to stitch these as ornaments, each block will be 58w x 48h. But if you want to stitch them all on one piece of fabric (three horizontal rows with four blocks each, pictured below), your stitch count will be 244w x 152h. This stitch count includes four blank rows (or 8 threads if using linen) both horizontally and vertically between each of the twelve blocks. The ornaments will be stitched on 36 ct. Patriot's Brew by R&R Reproductions. The threads used on just the Crocodiles and Giraffes are as follows: DMC 3072; Weeks Dye Works in Sanguine, Dove, Bullfrog, Parchment, Garrison Green, Kudzu, Grapevine, Collards, Molasses, Cayenne, and Gunmetal; and Classic Colorworks in Stepping Stones and Hazelnut.  If you want to have all the threads on hand for the entire project, regardless of how it is stitched, you will also need the following six colors: DMC 3013 and 3033; Weeks Dye Works in Tin Roof, Galvanized, Crimson, and Baked Apple.  Paulette also recommends  that you have 2 Grapevine and 2 Parchment on hand.  All of the ornaments are stitched in full cross stitch over two threads, but there are just a couple of blocks with a few back-stitches or long-stitches in them.
